Good attendance plays a key role in preparing both parent and child for a successful transition to kindergarten. As such we highly recommend that parents make every effort for their child to maintain good attendance.
A nutritious breakfast is served at 9:00 a.m. and lunch at 12:00 noon. Snack is provided to the children at 3:30 p.m.
In order for a child to be admitted to Rainbow Rhymes Learning Center, the parents must complete and sign the application form and the school contract. The health form must also be signed and dated by a physician.
Should the Center be forced to close due to severe weather conditions, the staff will contact parents at the earliest possible time.
An Authorization for Child Pick Up form must be on file if you wish to have a surrogate pick up and/or drop off your child. A picture ID of the surrogate will be required for the child’s file. Kindly inform the director or teacher prior to pick up/drop off when exercising this privilege.
The Center will be closed the following periods: Christmas Break, Winter Break, Easter Break, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day. All holidays are discussed and shared with the children according to their age level and understanding. This is done through stories, music, dance, and arts and crafts.
Your child’s birthday will be celebrated in class with songs and games. If you wish, you may send a cake to be shared with his/her classmates. If you do not wish to have your child’s birthday celebrated, please inform us prior to his/her birthday.
An extra change of clothing should remain at the Center for your child at all times. We suggest that your child wear comfortable and manageable clothing. A blanket and a small sheet is required for nap time. All items should be labeled with your child’s name.
Parents are welcome to visit their child at anytime. Parent-Teacher conferences are held twice per year. All parents are invited. Any parent wishing to have an individual conference, may do so by making arrangements with the teacher.
